Dear Ellie,
On the occasion of your very first birthday, Papa and I invited a few friends over to celebrate you. We made sure to invite Grammy and Grampy too, and Auntie Chelsey happened to be in town so she stopped by for an hour! Grammy made a tasty banana cake just for you, Mama’s friend Brittany took a few photos for us, and you delighted in laughing with everyone, playing with Zoe, and reading books with Grammy — Auntie Ash, Auntie Chelsey, Grammy, AND Mama all gifted you with new books. Kenny and Sarah wrote a really sweet note to you which Mama saved in your ‘year one’ box. Brian, Amanda, and Zoe gifted you with a lovely wooden stacking toy. We shared a meal of fruit, kale salad, and Mama’s favorite Chicken Gorgonzola pasta salad from D’Amico.
